Prosecco, Sparkling Wines

Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference Vegan Prosecco

I haven’t had much opportunity to explore vegan wines from Sainsbury’s yet, mostly due to proximity to the nearest well-stocked branch (I live in the city centre). So, struck by the desire to pop the cork on something sparkling (pretty much every day of the week, if I’m honest) I was lucky enough to come across this delicious but affordable Prosecco from my nearest Sainsbury’s Express.

Sainsbury’s Taste The Difference Prosecco Review

Sainsburys Taste the Difference Prosecco Vegan-Friendly
Clean and bright, this has all the qualities a good Prosecco should have, at an affordable price.

Beautiful clear lemon colour, vibrant bubbles, with well-balanced flavours of flowers, white peach, apricot and citrus. Crisp, but still sweet, this was just the thing to start off the weekend! It’s high up on the list of good vegan Prosecco from supermarkets, and I’ll definitely be picking up a full-sized bottle at some point.

I was on a bit of a tasting frenzy, so only invested in the small 20cl bottle, but the regular-size bottles are only £10. You can of course find cheaper Prosecco, but I think this one hit the spot rather well- and this stands as the supermarket’s premium Prosecco option – it’s also D.O.C.G grade, which is the strictest Italian wine certification for quality.

Whilst not all of the Taste The Difference wines are vegan-friendly, many are, and Sainsbury’s seem particularly good at keeping their website up-to-date with this information. You can get about 4 small flutes out of this, so it is perfect if you don’t want a full-bottle- or if, like me, you wanted to try a couple of different wines in one night without going overboard.

Have you tried it? What are your thoughts?

Jess.
